ON LIVING, LOVING AND LEARNING.

Dear Son,
This past week has been really sad. I am sorry if you felt short changed at some point.
But you see in as much as I put on a tough, strong look... sometimes mummy is all  pulp, especially when a loved one is involved.  You see son, the Lord, thought it wise to take a close friend home. A gentleman commonly known as Kaberere or Kabz aka Qabz.. I have known this gentleman as early as 1999 and I knew him as a man of passion, purpose, love and life.
Kaberere with one of his pets

This man passed on at a tender age of just 32, but you see, God was ready for Kabz to go home. He had fulfilled destined purpose. At his memorial service, a lot of things came to play. Kabz was a giver, a family man (ohh he loved his wife, his son and even his unborn baby at the time of his passing.). Every business opportunity he saw, he pursed. Coming from nothing to something. From what people called nobody to somebody. He revolutionized the gospel industry in this country, a true legend he was. Secondly, he was a giver. from clothes, to money, to time...you name it!!! According to Kaberere everyone deserved the good and fine things of life.

Ulani, Njesh and Kabz
I would go on and on about Kabz, but my heart still hurts and I still need to tell you a few things before I leave.

  1. In your lifetime, live life to the fullest. Never hold back on what you believe in and what you value
  2. Human beings are just that. Human beings, not human doings. Care for people, value them and what they bring on the table.
  3. Surround yourself with people of great stature and wisdom. There in, you will learn from their mistakes and they will catapult you to the next level.
  4. It is in giving that you receive. Never give with the hope that you will receive. Mother Teresa, (another legend) said, “Don’t Give until it hurts, Give until it feels good”
  5. Share your knowledge. You will learn more
  6. Value your family. Be it your wife, children, your parents... they are God’s gift to you. Value them and make time for them
so son live like their is no tomorrow, love like no one is watching and learn like your life depends on it...(oh yes, coz it does)

My Prayer.
  Dear Lord,
Thank you for the time you have given us thus far. I really don’t take it for granted.

I commit my son to you. His dreams and aspirations. Lord honour them in accordance to your will.May he realise his passion and purpose at an early age, and may I have the strength and wisdom to steer him to their completion.

Give him a good wife – one that will honor, respect and support him.

Make him a good husband, show him the ropes to care, provide, protect and pray for his family

Give him children – his own and many many more.
And most of all grant satisfy him with Long, good healthy life.

Psalms 91:15 – 16 "He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. "With a long life I will satisfy him And let him see My salvation."

And to Njesh, Ulani and Njoki..... May Psalms 91:15 - 16 be your portion as well. forever in our prayers and our actions.

Love you always,
Maitu...

and here is a short tribute to that great man. Kaberere you will forever be missed.
