Dear Son, Day: February 21 2012 Time: 11:37 p.m Weight: 3.75Kgs That day and time will forever be etched in my mind, body and soul.

I had always dreamt of how you would look like, but when I saw you, my dreams were nothing compared to what was before me. You were far much more handsome, beautiful than I had ever imagined or thought. Oh my, what a sight to behold. I was speechless, (trust me that ‘s such a big deal. As you will realise, I am very expressive and will seldom shy to pass my point across). I knew that my life was forever changed. As I held you in my arms, staring at your lovely eyes (which were wide open by the way – very strange, you were too eager to see the world after 41 weeks) and your soft skin glowing as your little tiny fingers tried to hold mine, I was astounded by God’s love, mercy and creativity.

So today I say the prayer that I dedicated to you, two years back. Luke 2:52 (NIV) ‘And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.’ Let me break it down to you what each means. And Jesus grew: means that Jesus advanced. In Wisdom: his mental state advanced. Who he hang out with, what he read, who challenged his mind. He was mentally healthy. Who you hang out with is very important. As iron sharpens iron, you need friends that take you to the next level. If you need to be a giant slayer, you need to hang out with giant slayers. Reja-reja living is not acceptable. In stature: his physique advanced. He kept fit, he watched over his body, he fasted. He realised that his physical body needed to be taken care if he wanted to accomplish his God given purpose and mission. Son, eat well, exercise, take care of your body. Because quite literally, you only live once, so live well. In Favour with God: He knew of and about the giver of the Gift God. He pursued him in all areas of his life. Even God himself could not ignore the ‘mortal’ son. Pursue God. Let him lead. Be so aligned to his desires and his commands and all other things will be added unto you. In favour with Men: despite him being a son of God, he knew that he was subjected to his earthly parents. He obeyed them. Live peacefully with your parents, live peacefully with those around you. There is no need in being so over spiritual for any earthly use. Son, you might be the only bible someone will ever read. Live a life beyond reproach. Son, many things will come that will challenge your advancement, but so help me God that I lay the godly foundations to make you increase in all the four areas. Welcome to the world my #CrownPrince
